Meet Sensilight™ Pro
Sensilight™ Pro is built on IPL: broad-spectrum light absorbed by the pigment in your hair and converted to heat in the follicle, which slows regrowth over a course of treatments. RPL™ (Reactive Pulsed Light) is Sensica's proprietary take on IPL. A built-in skin tone sensor checks your skin and blocks the flash if it's too dark or tanned, and a contact sensor only lets it flash when the window sits fully on your skin.
Skin tone varies across your body, so press the energy recommendation button on each area. Sensilight™ Pro suggests the right starting level for that skin tone, and you choose from six levels.

Is Sensilight™ Pro Right for You?
IPL targets the pigment in hair, so results depend on your skin tone and hair colour. Here's how to decide.

Light–Medium Skin, Dark Hair
💚 Excellent candidate. Dark brown or black hair on light-to-medium skin responds best. Light brown hair responds too, but usually needs more sessions.

Olive to Brown Skin (Fitzpatrick IV–V)
💚 Good candidate. Use the energy recommendation button on each area to find your starting level. If you have Mediterranean, Middle Eastern or South Asian heritage, take extra care on the face and neck: in some people, light-based hair removal there can increase hair growth.

Blonde, Red, Grey or White Hair
❤️ Not recommended. These hair colours carry too little pigment for IPL to target reliably.

Very Dark Skin (Fitzpatrick VI)
❤️ Not suitable. The skin tone sensor won't flash outside the safe range. A clinic can advise on laser options designed for deeper skin.
Your Treatment Plan
Light works on hairs in their growth phase, so results build session by session. How quickly depends on your skin, hair and hormones.
Patch test
Test each area you plan to treat and wait 48 hours before your first full session.
Every 2 weeks
Treat every two weeks while hairs move through the growth phase.
First signs
Regrowth starts to slow. Some hairs can keep growing for up to two weeks after a session.
Every 4 weeks
Space sessions out as hair becomes sparser and finer.
Top up as needed
Occasional maintenance sessions keep results going.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I use Sensilight Pro?
On the body, treat every 2 weeks for your first four sessions, then every 4 weeks for sessions five to seven, then as needed. On the face, treat every 2 weeks for the first five sessions, then every 4 weeks.
How long does the battery last?
A full charge gives up to 600 flashes, enough for several treatment areas in one session. For larger areas, you can recharge between areas.
Is it a laser?
No. Sensilight™ Pro uses IPL (intense pulsed light), a broad-spectrum light rather than a single laser wavelength. Both target the pigment in hair; IPL covers a wider area with each flash.
Is IPL hair removal permanent?
Sensilight™ Pro is FDA-cleared for permanent reduction in hair regrowth. That means fewer, finer, slower-growing hairs, not the removal of every hair forever, so occasional top-ups keep results going.
IPL gives long-lasting hair reduction, not the removal of every hair forever. Regrowth becomes slower, finer and sparser, and occasional top-ups keep results going.
When will I see results?
First signs usually take 3–4 sessions. Hairs that weren't in their growth phase during treatment can still appear afterwards, which is why the full course matters. Results vary with skin, hair colour and hormones.
Is it safe for all skin types?
No, and any IPL claiming to be is a red flag. Sensilight™ Pro is designed for Fitzpatrick skin types I–V with light brown, brown or black hair. The skin tone sensor won't flash on skin that's too dark or tanned. Don't use it on tanned, tattooed or irritated skin, and check the full list of contraindications in the instructions for use before you start.
Does it hurt?
Most people feel a sensation of warmth and a mild sting with each flash, similar to a rubber band snap. Start on a lower energy level and use the lowest comfortable level on sensitive areas.
